“Clinging to The Trees of A Forest Fire are certainly one of the more original grind bands to emerge in recent years, both in their tongue twister of a name and their sound. Following on from their last record released on Prosthetic Records this split with Franco grind nuts Nesseria carries on in much the same filth ridden vein. Seriously CTTTOAFF are vile in the best possible sense. Treacle thick sludge riffs blend effortlessly with razor sharp grind bursts during ‘Wrinkled Claws’, their singer sounding as if he is battling with some serious issues. During S.I.T.W he sounds like a raging animal fighting his last breath whilst the band clatter around him like Eyehategod on a steady diet of Napalm Death.

Nesseria continue the onslaught with four tracks of d-beat encrusted and blackened grind. There seems to be a theme of despair running through their songs as dissonant tones swirl around machine gun snare blasts. Once you reach the end of this record you experience that feeling after watching a particularly grim horror movie. Dirty, depressed but absolutely better for having experienced it. In conclusion, get right on it.”
